A WORD IN DUE SEASON

Dear ,
Do you find, as I do, that the older you get, the faster time goes by? Here we are already in the second month of 2022. Before we know it, it will be Christmas again.
If Jesus does not tarry.
Speaking of Jesus, do you get the feeling He is coming back soon? So much that is going on in the world around us is fulfilling Bible prophecy at breakneck speed, it seems.
As followers of Jesus, we are to do two things while awaiting His return. We are to occupy until He comes (Luke 19: 13), and we are to look up (Luke 21: 28)!
I think Jesus commanded us to look up because if we look around us, we will become discouraged and depressed. But if we look up, we will be keeping our eyes focused on Him.
So, are you occupying yourself by doing the work the Lord has given you to do? Are you looking up?
If not, make those two commands your goals for 2022. Let's all make sure that when Jesus returns, He will find us faithful.

ON THE HOMEFRONT . . .
My grandchildren experienced a sled-worthy snowfall this past month and took advantage of the great opportunity! Smart kids! :)
On another day, we made old-fashioned ice cream sundaes. :)
The character in the bottom picture, my ten-year-old grandson, is the generous-hearted star of a new play written by his nine-year-old sister (pictured above). The title of the play is "The Couch Tomato." How's that for creativity?

Cabbage-Cheese Pie

INGREDIENTS:
__ 1 Head Cabbage, shredded
___4 Eggs, beaten
___1 package (or 1/2 lb.) Swiss cheese, shredded
___Salt and Pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
___Boil cabbage for 10 minutes.
___Allow to cool.
___Squeeze out remaining water.
___Place cabbage in large bowl.
___Add eggs.
___Add cheese.
___Add salt and pepper to taste.
___Mix well.
___Coat frying pan with olive oil.
___Fry for about 10 minutes.
___Flip and fry the other side for 5 minutes.
Serve with Italian bread, if desired.
