TALK - HEART DISEASES IN CHILDREN, Online, Wednesday February 10th 3pm

Learn about heart defect or congenital (present from birth) heart disease in children from Island Hospital’s Doctor Dan. Heart defects can usually be treated with medicine, surgery or other medical procedures. You can ask questions on during the Live talk and have Dr Dan answer them personally. TALK - PROTECTING WILDLIFE IN THE MALAYSIAN FOREST, Online, Monday 15th February 8pm

Speaker Dr Marc Ancrenaz is the founder and CEO of NGO Hutan, located in Sabah. This French organisation has been working with the communities in the Kinabatangan region for the past 20 years to find durable solutions to protect wildlife while making it an asset for the region’s inhabitants. Dr Ancrenaz will share his insights on his NGO, as well as his story and his knowledge in the Malaysian wildlife, and especially orang-utans and wild elephants. His talk will be in English. FILM - MALAYSIAN FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL, Online, Until Monday 15th February

WALKING WITH GIANTS - ELEPHANT SANCTUARY, Online, Friday 19th February 3.30pm Malaysian Time

SHORT FILM SUBMISSIONS - G-SHORT, Online, Until 11th April

G-Short will be a short film festival held as part of the George Town Festival 2021. G-Short wants to encourage local film-makers to create original films, in a 90 second format. Cash prizes for winners.

YEAR OF THE OX, Online, Until 28th February

To usher in the new Chinese year of the Ox, The Art Gallery is showcasing an online exhibition of 20 calligraphy ox paintings done by the late John Lee Joo For. Joo For's calligraphy paintings are one of a kind. His strokes are bold and somewhat modern for his time. It is his way of saying that there is such beauty and versatility, speed and strength in the brushing of a single brushstroke that it sometimes seem superfluous to paint about something. MIXED HANGING BY SATTAMA, Online, Ongoing

Sattama is an artist from Sabah. Hin Bus Depot created an mixed exhibition of his sketches, prints, canvas works as well as wood works, but as the MCO forced Hin to close, the exhibition is now online here. All works are for sale.

WATERCOLOUR ART AUCTION, Online, First & Third Week of the Month

An online exhibition venue For the paintings of the members of the Penang Water Colour Society. All are welcome to join the Facebook group here to view and purchase artworks, and participate in the twice monthly online auction.
