Interview with Sally Wilkinson, nutritional therapist

From time to time, we will be interviewing people in the upper Calder Valley, asking them to share their experiences about becoming fully or partly vegan. This time, we spoke to Sally Wilkinson.

Sally is a Registered Nutritional Therapist, working from Physio & Therapies in Todmorden.  She told us about how people might ignore their body's signals, how to make simple but effective changes to improve your health, and shared a recipe for flourless cranberry chickpea blondies.

3 Valley Vegans at Foodie Friday, Todmorden Market

Last week, 3 Valley Vegans ran a stall at the Calderdale Markets 'Foodie Fridays', a monthly series of events at Todmorden Market offering food and more running later in the day.

Thanks to everyone who helped us to share information on going vegan, healthy eating and helping the environment.

World Cookery Demo (Eastern Night)

In June we hosted the latest in our series of cookery demo nights. This time we took an Eastern theme, inviting chefs from across the world who are now based in Calderdale to prepare delicious meals for us.

If you were there, you may have enjoyed Pad Thai, corn fitters, Chinese dumplings, samosa, bhajis or Sri Lankan sweets. If you weren't, don't worry, the recipes are on our website. Thanks again to everyone involved.

Blackshaw Head Fete, Saturday 31 August, can you help?

We are nearly at that time of year again where we pop up the hill to Blackshaw Head and set up a stall at their summer fete. This time, it is held on Saturday 31 August.

We will be offering our usual selection of tasty vegan food and friendly advice for those interesting in veganism and plant-based lifestyles.

Are you able to help out for a couple of hours, or make some treats for us to sell? If so, please let us know.

I can help out!
