Sunday for Sammy 20^th Anniversary – 23^rd February 2020

With less than a week to go, we’re bursting with excitement for this years 20^th Anniversary Sunday for Sammy extravaganza on the 23^rd February 2020.

If you’ve kept an eye on social media and our regular Sunday for Sammy press releases, you’ll have heard Jimmy Nail is to return to the stage after 14 years to join the boys for another very special hilarious Auf Wiedersehen, Pet sketch.

Jimmy said: “It’s hard to believe that it was 20 years ago when we decided to do a concert in memory of our good friend – and even more surprising that what was going to be a one-off gig has turned into something so big.

I’m greatly looking forward to getting back on stage with Tim and Kevin again and inhabiting those characters – playing them is like putting on a comfortable pair of slippers and it’s always a joy.”

Kevin Whately is also looking forward to the show: “You make it as professional as you can of course, but inevitably because you don’t get any rehearsal to speak of, things do go wrong, and the audience seems to love that as much as anything.”

The show is a celebration of North Eastern culture and many of the region's most popular and successful performers have taken part in the extravaganza of comedy and music.
