My ideal client has evolved. As it should – your business is constantly evolving, so why wouldn’t the profile of who you serve evolve with it? It’s changed through my company’s growth, my own growth, and through some awesome coaches (like Kim Dawson & Susan Gold) that I’ve worked with to help me hone my definition. It’s important to take time every so often to re-evaluate who really revs your business engine. There’s likely (at least) one thing that is a constant within your evaluations every time though, and that's something to take note of!
Personality is really important to me, and has always been MY common denominator in every “ideal client” profile. Now, if you know me, then you know that I can make friends with a wall. No, seriously. Sometimes I scroll through my Facebook feed and laugh… ‘oh, there’s that girl that I met on a plane a few years ago’ and ‘hey lady who I met at a café because we ordered the same drink’! I guess you could say that bonding with people is my superpower.
However, when you make a real and authentic connection with somebody, it’s seriously some kind of magic… And when they just happen to be looking for the services that you offer? Magic squared!!!
Now, imagine that ALL your clients share that sort of magic with you. It’s a damn beautiful place to be.
