Ben Adler Quartet
Ben Adler Quartet brought audiences to their feet throughout 2021, with their performance of Brydestykke. Now, for one night only, they will be performing a concert dedicated to these gorgeous folk songs, as arranged by the Danish String Quartet. The concert is on Monday 20 December at Linseed House, Alexandria. Two shows: 6:30pm & 8:30pm. Tickets from $30. More info here.

Reedy River
New Theatre's 1988 production of Reedy River, the 1953 Australian folk musical about the 1891 Australian shearers' strike. The libretto was written by Dick Diamond with songs chosen by John Gray. Two new songs were written for the musical by Diamond with music by Miles Maxwell.

His guest this week is Paula Punch - featuring her new album “Song To The Trees”. An Australian singer songwriter musician & her band The Firefly have been regular performers on the Australian music scene & toured the USA. She has shared the stage with Russell Morris, Glenn Bidmead, Renee Geyer, Dan Mullins, Karise Eden, Ed Kuepper, Abi Tucker, the Gadflys, Tania Bowra, Jackie Bristow, Marvellous Hearts, Lisa Schouw, Tania Sparke, & Neil Murray in recent years. She has had 2 singles in the Top 5 in ASA competition’s Indie Rock category.
Her songs are a mix of blues tones with uplifting themes of empowerment, described as “unique & diverse” while Paula herself simply calls it indie folk rock.

Bush Music Club Celebrates Reverse Garbage - 4.30pm - Members of the Bush Music Club perform at the "Reverse to the Future" farewell to Reverse Garbage Gala, from 4.30pm - 8.30pm at the Reverse Garbage Site inside Addison Rd Community Organisation. To celebrate the occasion of Reverse Garbage moving premises, a song/poetry competition will be announced with the winner performing their works at the reopening of Reverse Garbage at their new venue in Carrington Rd, Marrickville.

A free, light-hearted, folky, acoustic concert/cabaret presented by 16 instrumentalists & singers
Loosely Woven is a community based group of people who put together and perform two to three new shows each year. 'Heart & Soul' is the first public concert since everything came to a grinding halt with Covid-19 in March 2020. See Audience Program.
Instruments this time will include: violins, flute, saxophone, clarinet, harp, mandolin, harmonium, glockenspiel, accordion, concertina, guitars, ukuleles, keyboard and percussion.
