Dès le 24 janvier et ce pour huit semaines, le duo d’artistes sélectionné aura pour mission de développer et élaborer son concept afin de le préparer pour la production. Avec l’aide de notre équipe de spécialistes et de ressources pour élaborer leur concept à même nos espaces, ces artistes auront la chance de créer dans un environnement bouillonnant au carrefour entre l’art et la technologie.

Description du projet

0 est la dimension suspendue entre la présence et l'absence, la vie et la mort. 0 est l'endroit qui existait avant que nous ne venions au monde : le voyage métaphorique que nous devons tous faire avant de naître, de l'obscurité à la lumière, de l'absence à la présence, de l'état de désincarnation à celui du corps.

L'œuvre combine art visuel, art vidéo et interactivité en utilisant des caméras infrarouges et des moteurs en temps réel tout en intégrant une narration linéaire. Le corps et le mouvement de chaque participant contrôlent sa narration en fonction du rythme intérieur de chacun.

Biographie des artistes

Les lauréats sont un duo d'artistes qui se spécialisent en réalité mixte. Formé de Iolanda Di Bonaventura, une artiste pluridisciplinaire, réalisatrice et scénariste de projets de réalité virtuelle; et de Saverio Trapasso, un technologue créatif dont l'expertise va de la programmation à la connaissance de toute la chaîne de production de projets XR et graphisme informatique. Di Bonaventura et Trapasso ont participé à quelques expositions en Europe et ont également participé à plusieurs éditions de la Biennale de Venise pour parfaire leur formation en réalité mixte. Ils sont actuellement basés en Italie.

Starting January 24, the selected duo will develop and elaborate their concept to prepare the project for production for eight weeks. With the help of our team of specialists and resources to develop their concept within our spaces, these artists will have the chance to create in a vibrant environment bringing together art and technology.

Project description

0 is the suspended dimension between presence and absence, life and death. 0 is the place that used to be before we came into the world: the metaphorical journey that we must all make before being born, from darkness to light, from absence to presence, from being disembodied to having a body.

The artwork combines visual art, video art, and interactivity using infrared cameras and real-time engines while integrating linear storytelling. The body and movement of each participant control the narrative according to each individual's inner rhythm.

Artists biographies

The laureates are an XR artist duo formed by Iolanda Di Bonaventura, a transmedia artist, director, and screenwriter of virtual reality projects; and Saverio Trapasso, a creative technologist with expertise ranging from programming to knowledge of the entire production pipeline of XR and computer graphics projects. Di Bonaventura and Trapasso have exhibited around Europe and participated in several editions of the Venice Biennale to further their training in mixed reality. They are currently based in Italy.
