Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
The Indian Health Service (IHS) Division of Health Professions Support is initiating consultation with Tribal Nations to identify priority health professions to be included into eligible categories for the IHS Scholarship Program (SP) in academic year 2025-2026, as well as the IHS Loan Repayment Program (LRP) in fiscal year (FY) 2025.
IHS requests annual Tribal consultation on priority categories for inclusion in the IHS SP and the IHS LRP. The following professions will be funded in the academic year 2025-2026 and FY 2025: physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and optometrists. This request also includes feedback from Tribal Nations on health professions funding priorities.

The submission deadline is August 1, 2024. All submissions should be sent to Jeremy Sheehan at Jeremy.Sheehan@ihs.gov. In addition, the submissions must be related to health professions for which you currently have full-time vacancies or are anticipating full-time vacancies within the next year.
USET/USET SPF encourages you to participate in this process to help determine approved disciplines for the upcoming year.
