Dear Contract Instructors,

As you may know, Unit 2 is currently bargaining for a new collective agreement.

In our first bargaining session earlier this week, we successfully tabled our full package, both monetary and non-monetary proposals, to the employer. The thirteen proposals we presented were based on a full year’s worth of sector research and numerous consultations with our membership. We are expecting the University’s non-monetary opening package and some counter proposals at our next bargaining date in mid-October. We do not yet have a timeline for when we will receive the employer’s monetary proposals.
