Elder/Parent Care Leave - Update 1

QUESTION

Hello everyone,

i would like to check if your company have elder/parent care leave? If so, how many days do you give out to staff and do they need to produce any supporting documents?

My company is in the midst of enhancing our leave benefits.

Thank you.

For my previous company that had this elder/parent care leave, it’s generally to use to accompany the elderly parents for medical appointments or generally just taking care of them. They don’t need to provide any supporting document for this leave. It is 2 days per year, but the only condition is that staff has to be in Singapore.

Yes, we do. 2 days to parents, in-laws, grandparents. Must provide document to show relationship and medical appointment card. Staff must apply and be approved 3 working days earlier.
