A lattice corset done well (smooth, perfectly-mirror matched and parallel ribbons, not too tight and not too loose or wrinkled) demonstrates a corsetiere’s skills in draping, roll-pinning, and attention to detail.
While this gallery started as exclusively lattice corsets (which are vertical and horizontal pieces anchored onto a solid base), this year the gallery has been expanded to include some more bare-boned cousins: ventilated, skeleton and cage corsets, which often have a visual "latticework" as well, except on an illusion (mesh) base, or no base at all!
Both types of corsets show the corsetiere's skill in anchoring, symmetry, and understanding of balance of tension.
Shown here is one such corset that draws inspiration from both ribbon lattice corsets, and skeleton corsets: a "cage" corset on a mesh base by Twilight Siren.
