Hello everyone and welcome to July’s newsletter. I am trying to figure out if August is going to be a quieter month in the hiring world following the tremendously busy summer so far. Usually, this time of year sees a slow-down in the market as school’s break up and people descend to the beaches, but the market is so hot right now! Let me know if you’re going away anywhere?
I had my first client lunch this month it was so nice to get out and about again! I have even been to see Ricky Gervais’ new stand-up comedy show at a real theatre this week! It was great by the way!!
In Prism’s world, we have a new office and we are welcoming new hires to the team in order to keep up with this fast-paced market and we’re still hiring for more people to facilitate the bullishness of our clients when it comes to building their teams. It’s therefore no surprise to see that the BBC has reported a big spike in demand for IT jobs this month, according to the REC.
In other big news, it was great to see a Prism client - Currencycloud, partner up with Visa in a big acquisition. It goes to show how much the Fintech market is evolving and catching the eyes of some of the big players!
Back onto the topic of hiring, it seems everyone is struggling to bring on new people (in all industries!) - even the Prism local has had its kitchen closed recently as they haven’t been able to hire a chef! As always, we’re here to help with any hiring pains you may have, but the only Chef we can help with is the DevOps software vendor! 😊
As always, if you want to talk to me about the market, DevOps trends, etc. do not hesitate to get in touch, it would be great to hear from you. Book a call with me here
I hope you’ve all had a great month and enjoy your summer holidays!
