If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you might know I am a new author. My first novel came out last autumn and this will be my third novel. That means I do everything. Editing, formatting, layout, cover design, you name it.
This time, I really wanted to include a couple on the cover, something dance related, but I couldn't find the right image, for two reason.
First, Jo is far from skinny. I use Ashley Graham as inspiration, just so you get an idea. None of the girls in stock photos are anywhere near curvy enough to portray Jo.
The other issue was making this cover so different from the other two. The covers for the next series, which will be heavily connected to this one, will be a bit different.
So I scanned hundreds of photos until I found one that I liked and worked for what I wanted. The hands alude to a specific scene of the book, which also links in to the title.
