The national Schools Climate Assembly took place at King Edward VII school on 20th October. 1500 students from Sheffield and around the country heard from speakers and took part in debates around the Climate Emergency. The keynote address was given by Chris Packham. Other speakers included climate activist MIchaela Loach and eighteen year old Scarlett Westbrook, who has written content for several political party manifestos. As a result of this conference, a delegation of students and staff will be heading to 10 Downing Street with a petition signed by over 1000 students!
