Connecting People to Christ for Life

Due to the recent uptick in auto accidents and area violence, the Rock River Valley Blood Center is in dire need of blood donations.  Immanuel is hosting an onsite blood drive this Friday, Oct. 8th, from 1-5 pm.  Your help is needed!  You can register to donate by scanning the QR code, or by calling the church office. One unit of blood saves 3 lives - donate and make a difference!

Caring for a loved one can be difficult and challenging. Many caregivers feel isolated and alone. Connecting with others who understand your experience can be helpful. Those who care for a child or adult with chronic illness or Dementia/Alzheimer’s are invited to attend our Caregiver Support Group.

Questions, please call Laura Nie 815-988-4046.

Thursday, Oct. 7th, at 6:00 pm in the Adult Ed Room.

Art of Parenting Class

Inspired by Psalm 127:4, this new eight-session small-group study is video based, covering topics us as building relationships, applying discipline, nurturing identity, and the power of family.  Its aim is to help parents make faith the core of their parenting with intentional, biblical teaching and Christ-centered plans.  Participants will come out of this experience with renewed confidence, fresh insights on raising children at different ages, and a parenting plan unique to each child’s personality and gifting.  Discussions will be facilitated by ILCS parents James and Morgan Meinen.

Art of Parenting will meet Sundays at 10:15 am in the Library.

Connect Class

This six-week course provides an opportunity for prospective members or other interested persons to learn more about what we believe at Immanuel and how it shapes our lives – life together as a congregation and life out in the world.  This class meets in the Adult Ed Room at 10:15 am. Please call the Church Office to register.
