Well, out here on the wild and wet, west coast we survived a freaking cyclone bomb! I never heard of such a thing, but we survived it. I hope this note finds you in good health and cheer. I loved hearing from so many of you last month.
You can call me crazy. Many do. I'm joining the legion of authors across the globe participating in Nanowrimo, a thirty-day writing challenge scheduled every November. Nanowrimo translates to National (although it's international) November, writing month. Basically, you try to write a fifty thousand word book in one month. To do this I have to increase my speed, which will be a challenge, but I'm up for it. I'll be drafting the third book in the Dial Witch series called Dial Magic. The second book is written and "steeping," in the meantime. I'm really enjoying my time writing this trilogy, as Jane Black keeps getting herself into a mess of witchy trouble.
My release schedule:
Witch Box Set - I'm in a FREE box set of 20! witch stories that will be released this week. I'll send out a New Release Newsletter when it goes live. There's something for everyone in it. Did I mention it was FREE on all platforms?
Dial Sorcery, the second book in the trilogy (which is available for preorder) will launch in March, and
Dial Magic, the third book will hopefully follow a month or two later.
Recently I purchased Bookbrush, a software program that allows me to create interesting graphics with relative ease. I absolutely love it. I feel like a kid with a new Barbie doll, and I can't stop playing with it. You can see some of the results at the end of the newsletter as I've placed several of my book ads there.
That's my news for this month.
My daughter J.C. McKenzie is in a 99 cent book set called Rituals & Runes that's trying to make the USA Today list. The ad is below. I'm cheering her on. It would be so cool to see her on the list. There are lots of interesting-looking titles in the collection. Have a look. It's less than a buck.
Have a great November my friends, and stay well.
