Video of the Week
'Cloudstreet' in concert
Cloudstreet (featuring John Thompson, Nicole Murray & Emma Nixon) performing at the Illawarra Folk Festival in 2019.
As a reviewer in 'Sing Out' said: Cloudstreet “ . . . belong in that special pantheon of exceptional Australian musicians and songwriters, and yet they go beyond Oz to be world class”.
This is your chance to watch them in action in one of their last public performances prior to John Thompson's passing in February last year.

Tales from the High Stool - 9pm.
Pádraig Ó Cuinn hosts this program on 2RRR with interviews with people involved in local & global music. Guests are invited into a virtual 'pub' to sit on 'The High Stool', & discuss music, musical influences, & whatever they like, with their virtual 'bar-person'.
His guest this week is Tony Burke, MP, Shadow minister for the performing arts! Also the Manager of opposition business, Tony is well known for his love of music. He’s a musician & is well known for keeping musical instruments in his parliamentary office.
Since the pandemic began, Tony has been up front & centre in campaigning for the performing arts sector & for those working in the “gig” economy to not be left behind and excluded from the job keeper allowance! Alas many were! As recently as last week Tony was calling on the Morrison government to establish a national Covid-19 insurance scheme for the art & entertainment & events industry as commercial insurance is no longer available for events cancelled by the pandemic! This will greatly assist in reviving the struggling arts & entertainment industry by removing the massive financial risk from organisers in the event of a cancellation through no fault of their own. The government has already stepped up for the film industry but at the time of going to print the performing arts sector is being left behind!
Streaming live on 2RRR (88.5MHz FM). Podcasts online after each show. Send suggestions for music, suitable guest etc. to Patrick.
