HUG |
|
The week-long trips to Egypt and Israel are considered program highlights by many who attend Harding University in Greece and June brought both of those trips to this summer's HUG group. While in Egypt, the HUG group visited serval pyramids, tombs and Egyptian temples, snorkeled in the Red Sea, rode camels and took a cruise on the Nile River. In Israel, the group spent a few days in Jerusalem and visited other places such as Bethlehem, Nazareth, Capernaum and the Mount of Beatitudes. The HUG group also swam in the Sea of Galilee and floated in the Dead Sea!

HUF
Harding University in Florence students and faculty had a busy month of travel and hosting. They started the month by visiting the Casentino Valley where they saw Italian castles. Next, the group spent several days touring Rome, followed by a period of independent travel where HUF students could travel in groups wherever they wanted to within Europe. The month concluded with a trip to Naples, Pompeii and more. Throughout all of this, the HUF group hosted numerous other study abroad groups that came through Florence, such as BAT, COE and SURF. Not only did some of these groups join in HUF's tours, but they shared in worship time at the Villa, as shown in a picture below.

Mostly Music
Mostly Music is a study abroad program that takes students throughout Europe where they study the convergence of music, art and history. During the past month, the group visited Venice, Vienna, Salzberg, Germany, Paris and London. Whether it was touring museums, galleries, cathedrals or listening to an opera, the program helped students understand that music has had a profound impact on human history and culture.
"I enjoyed the Mostly Music trip because I got to experience so many different countries across Europe and learn how they all relate to music. I feel blessed to have been able to not only study abroad, but study music and its history while doing it." – Micah Clark
