Note #4 - Some Inspiration
This is s quote that hit me pretty hard yesterday.
"If you want to find gratitude in everyday activities, just imagine it's the last time you're ever going to do it" - Alex Hormozi
I try not to be all esoteric but sometimes this is just the truth.
One morning in January, 2013, I woke up to message on my phone from my dad. I called him the moment I woke up.
"It's mom,' he said. "She had a heart attack last night. She didn't make it..."
That's it. She was 54. I was 33. She was gone. No more joking phone calls or rolling my eyes at her constant comments on any social media posts. Gone.
Every time you brush your teeth cannot be the most exciting moment of your life. But when your spouse leaves for work, give them a kiss. When you leave for work, tell your kids you love them. When you have to sit at another swim practice, don't just stare at your phone, watch them swim.
This could very well be the last time you will ever see them. Or, they will ever see you.
Never go to bed angry, or even if you're angry, hug your loved ones and tell them you love them still. It seems so simple.
But if you have get that phone call, I promise, you will cherish every boring, monotonous, moment you ever had.
