Prior to the event, each registered unit will be given a series of basic requirements for their movie – A genre, a required character name, a line of dialog, and a mandatory prop. From there each team is free to write their script for an under-10-minute movie that will be filmed on location at Camp Agawam over the course of the weekend.

Teams can be as few as 4 Scouts but work best with 6 to 8.

Scoutmasters please send an email to ponman752@gmail.com with your team's names so that the movie requirements can be returned to you - the earlier that this is done the better, as this will give you more time to write your movies! 

This event is for Troops, Crews, and Ships

On Saturday we will have on site demonstrations from industry professionals to coach the Scouts through directing, camera work, special effects, and editing their movies.

On Sunday, October 15th all of the completed movies will be screened at the Oxford 7 Movie Theater on Lapeer Road, just a few minutes north of the camp, with the best selections voted on by the Scouts to be entered into the Wildwood Film Festival.

Free in-person seminars on camerawork, directing, and filming.

Attendance to these seminars as well as attendance to the complete event will qualify scouts for the completion of Moviemaking Merit Badge, and Merit Badge Counselors will be available during the event.
