Spring, Spring, GLORIOUS Spring!

 Hello again, dear readers, and hello SPRING! 

The bees have been busy in my little corner of the world! I captured the picture below in the first week of March. I always love to see the crocuses poke through the pale grass at the end of winter. Once those bright purple flowers bloom and the honey bees return, I know the first warm days of spring aren't far behind.

Spring always brings a sense of renewal and new chances. After last year (ahhh....March 2020, you will live in infamy forever), this spring has featured moments of happy tears, like the day I was able to visit my local library in person for the first time in over a year.

I've been hard at work on the next book in the Castlewood High Tales series, Team Peabrain, a modern sweet romance retelling of the classic fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Andersen. 

Team Peabrain features Bronwyn Clancy as the main character - you may remember her from her cameo appearance in Pumpkin Run, Book 1 of the Castlewood High Tales series. Super smart and seriously shy, Bronwyn wants nothing more than to win the spot as Junior Captain of the Academic Team and the heart of Adam Greenville, Senior Captain of the Academic Team. 

When Bronwyn gets dragged into the middle of a cheating scandal with C.J. Dennison, star wrestler, she has no choice but to prove to Mrs. Monnark, her Academic Team coach, that she really is the smartest girl in the junior class. 

But as Bronwyn gets to know C.J. better, will she be smart enough to listen to her heart?

Something about springtime and great romance reads - they just go hand in hand!

Here are a few I've finished recently...no spoilers, I promise.

1. Dovetail by Karen McQuestion. I love the way this is narrated and the dual love stories across time. 

2. Sea of Memories by Fiona Valpy. Ahh, to be in France.  If you love WWII era romances, read this next!

3. An Unfinished Story by Boo Walker. A well-written second chance romance with a bit of mystery thrown in on the side.
