ATESL and TESL Ontario Annual Conferences
The ATESL and TESL Ontario annual conferences will offer a number of different presentations related to Avenue and technology-enhanced language learning (TELL). If you're attending either conference, we hope you will attend some of these sessions to learn about and share your experiences with Avenue or TELL.

Coming Soon to Avenue: An English Pronunciation Course
The Avenue team is completing the development of an English pronunciation course aimed at helping learners overcome problems in their perception and production of English speech sounds. The modules provide several learning opportunities and assessments. Potential users of the course are learners with different CLB levels, L1, education, and experiences with ESL. A training module has been developed to help instructors become familiar with the theoretical concepts and how to use the course. The developers will be delivering a webinar about this course in October after which we will be looking for teachers to pilot this resource.

Help Videos for Literacy Learners
In case you missed this announcement in the June newsletter, fifteen videos for literacy and beginner learners using Avenue can now be accessed in courses via the Courseware Help block. Click here to preview the videos. Literacy, CLB 1 and CLB 2 teachers can add a beginner help block (video-only) by following the instructions in this file. Teachers can contact their the mentor or Live help for assistance.
