Hello, dear EcoVisio-neers!

We start the new year 2024 of the EcoVisio newsletter with good news: you will now receive our monthly newsletter directly to your inbox. A warm "Welcome!" to our new subscribers, and thanks to those who have been supporting us over the years - we are now a community of more than 4,000 subscribers!

In January, we celebrated our achievements from the previous year and set ambitious goals for 2024. Likewise, we're happy to announce that you can already redirect 2% of your income tax to us to support our projects. Seminar participants listen to German expert

Energy efficiency consultants trained by German specialists

With over 20 years of experience in energy efficiency in residential and non-residential buildings, Rainer Winkels, an engineer by profession, came to Moldova to share best practices with the participants of the "Reduce Energy" project. The autumn training was attended by 24 people from different regions of the country interested in the topic. Read more about the participants' experience with the expert here.

Eco Lessons for Teachers

In 2023 we successfully implemented the online course for teachers: Eco Lessons for Teachers. The journey of this unique course started in collaboration with the Belarusian NGO in exile "Ecoidea". The participants went through 4 modules for 4 weeks, where they explored several topics. You can read what they are and what's next here.

And now, in 2024 we invite you to join us in strengthening and promoting the Social & Impact Entrepreneurship ecosystem. Education through play at EcoVisio

Our colleague Marina Cebanu, together with other young people from Moldova, also from the EcoVisio community, had the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ youth exchange in Estonia - "UNITYPLAY - The Game as a tool for intercultural exchange", organized by the non-profit association "Особый мир". In the framework of the project they became creators of their own games, explored the topic of inclusion and organized sessions with the students of Vivere kool inclusive school in Tallinn. EcoVisio People

The Internet says that a "successful team" needs to know not only how to work effectively together, but also how to have fun together. How "successful" we are we leave to you and our beneficiaries to judge, but how we have fun together the smiling photos below can tell you. In December, EcoVillage Moldova and the office in Chisinau were embraced by the people of the EcoVisio community. We recharged our batteries and enthusiastically start new projects in 2024 and continue the previous ones. See more photos here.

How can you help EcoVisio for free, quickly and easily?

Any natural person, legally employed and paying taxes in the Republic of Moldova can redirect 2% of their income tax to EcoVisio, according to the mechanism written in the legislation. Also, don’t forget about EcoVisio’s fiscal code (IDNO): 1013620004362. Southern activists VS waste

We are looking for active people from CAHUL, CANTEMIR, COMRAT, VULCĂNEȘTI, CEADÎR-LUNGA who can get involved in solving the waste problem!
If you are interested in the Waste Problem and want to contribute to change the situation in the locality, we invite you to the networking sessions in the South in the next days, to make connections and partnerships, to get to know the different actors involved, their views on the waste problem in the locality, the challenges they are facing and possibilities to get involved in the project. During this event, we will explain how we see the problem being solved, but also what resources are allocated for infrastructure. For more details on these events see here.

Energy efficiency posters in your community!

A series of posters have been developed as part of the "REDUCE ENERGY: Energy Efficiency Solutions for Better Communities" project. Here you can find the materials in three formats: A4/A3, A5 and for Social Media, including their original quality. Posters can also be delivered to you free of charge for distribution in the community. Fill in this form.

The game only works its magic if it is moderated correctly according to the rules. Moderators of "Keep Cool" and all those who have played or moderated and will play and moderate the game again - this video is for you! Gabriela Isac will explain all the rules of the game (yes yes, including the ones that sometimes give you a headache), and as a bonus she will also suggest some best practice recommendations.

Ina Hincu is the coordinator of the climate resilience and waste management project in Volintiri village. She has a degree in foreign languages, but has been passionate about protecting the environment since she was a child. She also works at the village library and is actively involved in various community development activities.
