Established in 1992, when the current CEO, Dan Freeman, began his career working in his father’s construction company, which operated in a more conventional manner, focusing on assembling systems to be the low bidder on projects. One day, a customer approached Freeman with a clear idea for a project, saying, “You’re not the lowest bidder, but I like you.” This interaction earned Freeman the job and introduced him to the concept of design/build construction. Inspired by this approach, Freeman began to think: what if he put together a better way to serve clients with innovative, tailored solutions? This marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career and the evolution of Freeman Building Systems.
