Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
The USET Climate Resilience Program, in the Office of Environmental Resource Management, invites Tribal Nation staff, leaders and citizens to participate in the 2024 USET Tribal Climate Resilience Camp which will be held from June 10-14 in Durham, NC.
The Tribal Climate Resilience Camp is a three-day workshop (plus travel days) which convenes small teams from Tribal Nations to build relationships, share climate resilience strategies and resources, and work on a project or goal identified by each team. Such projects may include community outreach plans, adaptation plans, vulnerability assessments, funding strategies, or other related initiatives. The USET Climate Resilience Program staff will connect with each team prior to the event to ensure we have prepared speakers and resources relevant to each teams’ projects.
Lodging and meals are provided for the duration of the camp to USET-member Tribal Nation teams. See more details and camp registration on the event page. We also recommend watching the video created about the 2022 Camp by Passamaquoddy filmmaker Nolan Altvater. Tribal Nations teams are strongly encouraged to register by April 12.
The USET Climate Resilience Program provides technical assistance for USET Member Tribal Nations working to address and prevent harm from climate change in their Nations and communities. For more information or assistance, please contact Casey Thornbrugh at cthornbrugh@usetinc.org or Steph Courtney scourtney@usetinc.org.
