Hello Friends-
"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.
I have chiefly been delving into a bit of a "Calgon Take Me Away" moment this week...I dabbled in some of my ritualistic routines of making art, attending virtual events, reading (when my internet was down for a day), talking to a few friends here and there, and watching a medley of things on YouTube, Netflix, etc. I have also been doing a deeeeeeeeep dive into memory lane and the former things of life. On Wednesday, I felt like I was having a bit of a mini breakdown of sorts, and decided that I would force myself to "get out and do something" on Thursday- even though it was supposed to rain. My spirit felt extremely drained, and like it really needed to see something beyond my walls of quarantine. (My devotional reading for that day even spoke to the fact that I needed to get out...so, I took that as an extra sign.) Needless to say, I ventured out and grabbed the first bus I could that morning- not really even knowing where I was going to go. I ended up going to a super quiet (and pretty much peopleless) Michaels and got some extra crafting supplies I've been wanting. After that, I went to the grocery store and got a few things to carry me through some more quarantine time. I can honestly say that I really needed that little mini escape- it really lifted my spirits, and gave me a little "light." It has been the highlight of my week thus far.
I hope you are taking the time when and where you can to find those little moments of joy in your life as well. We've definitely got to grab hold to them in times like these.
