My October trip to Louisville was wonderful, then went right into NaNoWriMo in November, which is why this newsletter is delayed. I promise I have been busy though so read on!
The Louisville Book Festival was an amazing event and I am so glad I made the trip down there! On the first day, we had several classes of students come in, and it was really nice to chat with some of them about our experiences as authors. Along with book sales, I was able to connect with other authors who I had met the year before during the virtual event, and we had a wonderful time talking craft. All in all, it was well worth the 6-hour drive, and I am looking forward to next year's event.
I will be editing Athena's Challenge this month and turning it back into my editor for a final lookover. The launch will be in February, and I am planning to send the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) out in January since time got away from me. For anyone on Goodreads, I have a favor to ask below!
During National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November, I finished a first draft of Book 4 of my Goddess series, Web Of Lies. Since Athena's launch will be in February, I am most likely looking at an August launch on this one, and you can look for a cover reveal on that shortly. ARC readers will be needed for both books, so if you are interested in being on my street team, please check out the link below.
Planning on staying close to home for the next few months, and staying inside. The weather has turned cold, and I have a feeling it is going to be a very snowy winter here in MI! As long as I'm inside, I don't tend to mind it, especially since my office is coming together and I will now have somewhere very inspiring to create in! I will be doing a post soon on the before and afters!
I was honored by the Lansing Community College Literary Team, by having a short story selected and placed in their Literary Journal, and the book is available for sale! There are several essays, poems, and short stories by other writers, and the book comes in digital and print editions. I am putting more information below, along with a link to the story I included in the publication.
Lastly, I am part of an amazing Holiday Giveaway on December 9, 2022 (US) and if you are on Facebook, please consider joining us! It is being hosted by the Coffee, Cupcakes, and Contemporaries - A Book Group, and is an amazing place to meet other readers and authors. There are over 100 authors participating, and we are each allowed one giveaway post that day. Look for mine and be sure to make a comment! I have a great prize planned! They have events all year, so if you like all things Contemporary Romance, you will definitely want to join their group!
Let me know what you are reading right now! I have a ton of new books that I am looking forward to reading over the winter and can't wait to chat about them! Happy Holidays everyone!
