Dear Friends,

Lisa and I genuinely hope that all is well in your world as we all make our way through February. We know it may feel to many that we are in the grip of a long dark winter with all the severe winter weather in so many places around the world.

Here in Scotland the days are getting noticeably longer with about 2-1/2 hours more daylight each day than we had just two short months ago. We see that as a sign that the end of the dark days is a forgone conclusion. The light of the gospel of the Kingdom of God is spreading throughout the earth at an accelerating pace.

People are hungry for some good news. Fortunately, we believers have the best news going as we share God’s goodness and the wonderful truth about Jesus and His Kingdom that is available for each of us right now.

Lisa and I are so honored to have a small part in this here in our corner of Scotland.

Ministering Students

Normally this is the time of year when we are preparing to head out on mission trips with our Bible college students, as part of their curriculum. However, we are still in very restrictive lockdown here in Scotland due to the government’s COVID policy.

But nothing the enemy can do will stop the good news of the Kingdom of God from being shared. On a recent Saturday we brought some of our students who live locally onto our campus facility one at a time to record short testimony videos.

We are sending those videos to the churches that host our missions teams so they can show them to their congregations as they find appropriate. In addition, we have time planned with our host churches where our students will minister live via Zoom for the congregations too.

This all will help our students see that the Holy Spirit is not restricted by location. In truth, the Holy Spirit is able to minister to hearts both in person and through technology. God is not restricted by time or space. Recordings can minister powerfully too, right along with live ministry.

Ministry Opportunities

Chris has some ministry opportunities next month in addition to the work we do at Charis Dumfries. On March 10th he will teach in the live Bible study for Andrew Wommack Ministries in Colorado. There he will share some material from his upcoming book about our identity in Christ, which is due out this summer. The working title is Identity Crisis: Exposing Lies That Derail Your Destiny.

Then on March 11th and 18th Chris will be ministering virtually to the Charis Bible College campus in Walsall. He will share material from his short read book on the Sovereignty of God with the school there in England.

Additional Donation Method

You may be aware of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, which are growing in popularity. (If you don’t know about them, that’s OK.) This month we added a way for people to donate any of several different cryptocurrencies to NewCREEations. We added a new secure giving page just for this.

Now those with cryptocurrency have a place where they can give some of it into the Kingdom of God. When they do, it is immediately converted into US dollars and we email a giving receipt for their records.
