Nonwoven products used in home textiles and furniture sector are called hometech, i.e. home technical textiles. Hometech products are used in a wide variety of areas such as mattress, pillow and cushion paddings, store curtains, carpet coverings, carpet yarns, fireproof materials, wallpaper, upholstery fabrics, padding, spring covers, insulation materials, kitchen aspirators, vacuum filters and air conditioning filters. In 2022, home technical textiles accounted for 19.50% of global technical textile exports. The global home technical textiles market is projected to reach 33 billion dollars by 2033 with a growth rate of 5.1%. The 4th most sold product group among technical textiles is home technical textiles. Interest in Hometech products is expected to witness a positive trend in the coming period, especially with the increase in housing construction in emerging economies. The latest trends and technologies in the field of home technical textiles will be exhibited at the HIGHTEX 2024 Exhibition on 4-8 June.
