| Our Pastor's new book released this week! |
|
|
It's about Jesus' ordinary human experiences (his work life, family life, emotional life , financial life, etc.), with the aim of demonstrating that God really does understand what it's like to be us becauseâthough he was fully GodâJesus was also fully human.
From the publisher (Our Daily Bread):"When our faith feels disconnected from our day-to-day reality, we can always remember that Jesus knew what it was like to come home after a long day at work, navigate family arguments, and the experiences that come with an ordinary life! With his new book, Jesus Was Human Too, Ryan Lokkesmoe invites us to see how Jesus walked with wisdom and grace through situations similar to our own, making Him the perfect Savior who genuinely understands and empathizes with everything we go through."
Available wherever books are sold, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Christianbook.

Dear church family, please beware of scammers who impersonate pastors and ask individuals for money or gift cards. Sadly, this is becoming commonplace in churches across the country - especially the gift card scam. Telltale signs of a scam include a sense of urgency and a request for secrecy. Emails coming from Ryan or one of our other staff members will always come from an @cclw.org email address (for example, info@cclw.org). Secretive requests for money or gift cards are a scam, and they typically come from yahoo, gmail, or hotmail addresses. If you ever receive a communication you're unsure about, you can always call the church to verify or email one of our staff members using their email addresses listed on our website: https://cclw.org/our-team

FOOD ASSISTANCE FOR THE BLESSING BOX
Clover Area Assistance Center (CAAC) prevailed on CCLW to install a mini pantry (Blessing Box) in 2023. The canned goods left in the box are intended for the local homeless as well as families who need help stretching their food supply. The Blessing Box is on the parking lot side of our church (follow the signs from Highway 49).
We need your help. In order to keep this pantry filled with appropriate foodstuffs, we ask that you buy a few extra cans of food (see the separate list) when you are grocery shopping each week. Simply place them directly in the Blessing Box or bring them inside the church. A member of the Missions Committee will do the rest.

| FAITH LIFT â Womenâs Morning Bible Study |
|
|
Who: Women of all ages When: Wednesdays, 10:00â11:30 a.m. Where: Community Church at Lake Wylie (CCLW), Room 208 Leader & Contact: Jenny Lucas (jrlucas55@gmail.com)
Start Date for the Lent Study: Ash Wednesday, February 18 Duration: 6 weeks, (ending Wednesday, March 25th, the week before Easter.)
About the Group: Faith Lift is an open, discussion-based Bible study for women of all ages and stages of life. Together, we engage in Scripture through thoughtful conversation, historical context, and real-life application. Whether youâre deeply rooted in your faith or just beginning to explore it, youâre invited to come any Wednesday for a meaningful âfaith liftâ as we grow spiritually and build Christian community.
Lent Study: The Final Days by Matt Rawl This six-week Lenten study invites participants to reflect on themes of justice, poverty, freedom, and love as we walk through Jesusâ final week in Jerusalem. By exploring the Passion narratives across Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, weâll see how each Gospel offers a distinct perspective on Jesusâ suffering, death, and resurrection. These differences donât weaken the storyâthey deepen itârevealing a rich, complementary picture of Godâs work through the cross and the hope of the empty tomb. Encountering these accounts side by side helps us engage the story of Jesus with greater depth and renewed Resurrection hope.
The book is not required to attend but is encouraged to fully invest in the study. Each week covers one chapter, but women are welcome to join even if they havenât read ahead.
If youâd like to purchase the study guide, itâs available on Amazon for $9.38: The Final Days by Matt Rawl (Linked through the button below)
Signup: A signup link is available for planning purposes, but registration is not required to attendâfeel free to simply show up. If you know you will be, please fill out the form using the following link: https://forms.gle/5GSKU4115LSzSqi68

| WEBS (Wednesday Evening Bible Study) |
|
WEBS is a new weekly gathering for women ages 18+ who desire to grow in their understanding of Scripture and build authentic, Christ-centered community.
Together, we will study Godâs Word, engage in meaningful discussion, and support one another through prayer in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Start date: Wednesday, February 25th, 2026
Meetings will continue regularly each Wednesday afterwards
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Location: At Community Church in Room 208
First Study: The Way of Wisdom
Our first 8-week session will be The Way of Wisdom, a study of the book of Proverbs. Through personal study during the week, teaching videos, and group discussion, participants will explore how Godâs wisdom speaks into everyday life (our words, work, relationships, leadership, finances, and more). This study invites us to walk faithfully and steadily in Godâs way, growing in both spiritual depth and practical application.
Study Materials To participate in the Wednesday Evening Bible Study, each participant will need to purchase a copy of The Way of Wisdom study guide. Please use the button below to purchase the book before the study begins. You can also buy the book from Amazon or from the Lifeway website.
For more information or questions about WEBS, please contact Michelle Kearney.

| Our New Young Adult Group |
|
|
Adultish is a new young adult community for ages 18â30ish who are figuring out faith, life, and what it means to follow Jesus in adulthood. Whether youâre brand new to church, have grown up in it, or arenât quite sure where you land, Adultish is a low-pressure space to learn about faith, find community, ask honest questions, and grow alongside others in the same season of life.
We meet Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Community Church in the Gathering Space, launching Thursday, January 15. Each week includes time to connect with one another, study Scripture together, and pray over each other in a casual, welcoming environment. Weâre starting with a Bible study through Philippians, focusing on discussion, community, and applying Godâs Word to everyday life.
Our heart for Adultish is that those who come will grow into faithful, available, serving, and teachable disciples of Jesus together with a christ-centered community supporting them. Come as you are, bring your questions, and donât feel like you need to have it all figured out.
