My Life this Month...

Many of you know that I am a missionary kid. My parents served the people of Malawi and Ethiopia--both in Africa--for over 30 years. I was born in Malawi and spent many years at a boarding school called Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe, Kenya. This past month I had the joy of meeting an old friend, Moira. We first met at RVA in the 5th grade and went on to graduate together. Moira's husband is in the Navy and they recently moved to a base near where I live. You know those friendships where it doesn't seem like any time has gone by when you see each other next? Yeah, that. It was so lovely to see her!

From My Heart...

Sometimes I grow weary. The Bible doesn't speak of this world being like a battle for no reason. It is hard to constantly share Truth with others and have it rejected. It is hard to want so badly not to fail, but to fail time and again and have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try once more. But I'm so thankful for a God who promises to give us those moments of rest and refreshing. So are you weary? Do you need an extra dose of rejuvenation? Take courage. God has not forgotten you. Nor has he forgotten those you love.
