Would you like to present a workshop at the 2023 MLTAV Annual Conference on Monday 4 December?

Submit your workshop proposal by Friday 15 September

Presenters whose workshop proposals are included in the program are able to register for the conference at no cost.

All workshop sessions will be 50 minutes and content should be relevant to teachers of all languages.

CLIL in Action

Venue: Footscray Primary School, 100 Geelong Rd Footscray

This in-school workshop will provide you with opportunities to:

• Observe CLIL classes in action
• Understand how CLIL can be effective for engaging and motivating learners (and teachers!)
• Explore key principles which underpin quality CLIL teaching
• Build your confidence to implement strong CLIL strategies with students
• Collaborate with other Languages teachers to explore the possibilities and practicalities of CLIL

Applications now open

Applications for the Academy’s 2024 Teaching Excellence Program (TEP) are open until 15 September 2023 and highly-skilled teachers from across Victoria are encouraged to apply.

TEP is Australia's first advanced professional learning program of its kind in Australia. It is a year-long program designed to advance the professional knowledge and practice of teachers from Victorian government, Catholic and Independent schools.  

Teachers accepted into the program will have access to the latest evidence-informed research to apply in their classrooms. Through the program, teachers will advance their knowledge in their learning areas and will improve their capability and confidence to teach more effectively. 

TEP graduates apply new knowledge and contribute to ongoing teaching excellence at their schools and networks.

If you are a highly-skilled teacher of Languages consider applying for TEP.

Expressions of interest

Critical to the success of the Academy’s Teaching Excellence Program (TEP), is the attraction and recruitment of highly skilled and motivated Master Teachers-in-Residence. Their role includes the facilitation and co-design of the discipline and place-based work at the centre of the TEP.

Expressions of interest (EOIs) are now open for the Academy’s 2024 Master Teachers-in-Residence. EOIs are sought from excellent, motivated teachers across the Victorian government, Catholic and Independent education sectors to join the Academy as Master Teachers-in-Residence for a period of 12 months. The Master Teacher roles will be based at the Melbourne site, with regional and remote work an essential part of the provision of the TEP.

• a brief response to the selection criteria as they relate to the Master Teacher role
