UKMTO has received a report of an incident 97NM northwest of Hodeidah, Yemen.

Open-sources further indicate that a ship reported an explosion in close proximity to the vessel in the same vicinity. According to those sources, the vessel and crew are safe and proceeding to the next port of call.

Authorities are investigating the incident and the Castor Vali team will continue to provide updates and analysis to support informed decision-making in navigating these waters.

All vessels in the area are advised to proceed with caution and to report any suspicious activities to the UKMTO.
