Melville Residents' Association

Hello Melville residents,

With load-shedding bounces back and forth between Stage 1 and Stage 2, and water levels are low at our reservoirs, we are always conscious of our surroundings.

With this in mind, the MRA Committee is engaging with the APRA and a team that started the Barry Hertzog & Greenbelt Project to improve the environment around our beautiful suburb.

This upcoming weekend offers some opportunities to engage with projects geared towards beautifying the areas around Melville, start up some hyperlocal initiatives (think street clean-ups), and support our local vendors at two local markets.

A few events below are not to be missed!

This Friday, the MRA will be engaging with various City personnel and other stakeholders about clean-up projects around our suburb (additional details will be sent out as they become available).

On Saturday, 20 March, a larger, enhanced Melville Farmers Market will be on at the Carlow Rd Tennis Courts from 10h00 – 14h00.

On Sunday, 21 March, don’t miss the Market@theMuseum in Auckland Park at 72 Richmond Ave.

Come out and support these local events that keep Melville, Melville.

All the best,

MRA Executive Committee
