【Principal】
9/8 All Parents Orientation (2:10pm-3:40pm) NEW
The all parents orientation will be held at the 1F cafeteria. All parents are welcome to attend. It is a chance for the school to introduce each department to the parents and to share the upcoming activities planned for this year. You are encouraged to raise any question about our school as well during the meeting.

Recruiting a Coordinator for the Virtual English Tutoring Program at JiaXian Primary School NEW
We are in need the coordinator of virtual English tutoring program for JiaXian Primary School . JiaXian is a school for Aboriginal Bunun tribe in Kaoshuing and has very limited sources for language education. Please reach out to the Principal if you’re interested in supporting the program as a coordinator. This volunteer opportunity can earn 4 service points.

【Registration】
Registration Information for New Students
In order to encourage parents to participate and volunteer at school events, ECS changes the service points to 5 points per student for the 2024-2025 school year. Please refer to the ECS website for the fee schedule and registration guidelines .
● Tuition: $510 per student (3rd and subsequent children receive a 25% discount on tuition)
● 5 service points per student, 10 service points max per household (2+ students).
● Fill out the new student questionnaire when registering a new student.
【ECS Star Team】
Join ECS Chinese Typing Team IMPORTANT
The Registration for the team begins now. Qualified students are welcome!
● ECS Registration Due Date: 9/15/2024
● ECS Star Typing Team Training:
○ Every Sunday from 9/8/24 to 9/29/24 at 8:00pm: Practice via Zoom;
○ Sundays from 10/6/24 to 10/20/24 at 4:00 pm: Practice in the school.
● NESTA Chinese Typing Competition Date: Saturday, 10/26/2024, 10am-1pm
● Eligibility: ECS students for three consecutive years in the 6th grade and above the Zhuyin class
● Location: Culture Center of TECRO

Order through ECS Online . Paypal & Check & Cash Acceptable. Please bring your own cooler or bag when picking up.
All fundraising Items must be picked up at Cafeteria on 9/8/2024 at 2:15pm -4:00pm: Zongzi, Taiwanese MeatBall (Ba Wan), Asian Pear, HoneyCrisp Apple, Swiss Rolls, and Macarons.

【General Affairs】
9/15 Recruitment of Volunteers for Fire Drill NEW
We need lockdown drill volunteers to help students drill fire escape routes. This is an important exercise to protect students. Participating parents will receive service points. For those who are interested, please go online to register.
Safety Patrols Are Needed

【Community Affairs】
Special Lecture for Teacher’s Day Celebration
The Washington Area Confucius Memorial Ceremony Committee will celebrate Teacher’s Day with a virtual lecture and discussion on Confucianism. The committee has specially invited Professor Sun Ruijin to deliver a keynote lecture titled: "Exploring the Infinite Possibilities of Traditional Chinese Music through Its Rich and Diverse Heritage."
