Preorder WHERE SHE BELONGS today

Dearest ,

I'm so excited to announce that Where She Belongs, book 7 in my Different Kind of Love series is up for preorder on Amazon where the rest of the books are free to read in Kindle Unlimited. Where She Belongs features Gabe Vasquez (Dax's best friend) and is scheduled for release on December 14, 2021.

I can't wait for you to meet Gabe and before that, Claudia in Undaunted, my contribution to Corinne Michaels' Salvation Society world that's coming up very very soon!

With less a week and a half left before the LilDude's first day of middle school (they grow up too fast!), it means summer is ending. It also means writing, editing, and finalizing my stories for release.

It's a slow process as I've told myself to take it easy this year and be kinder to myself, and I've been happy with every small win each day. Finish a chapter? Hooray! Got an audiobook out in another retailer? Great job!

So I hope you're celebrating your wins yourself, big or small. Life is simply too short to focus only on shortcomings, right?

Much love,

Where She Belongs

It was supposed to be just another predictable year-end office party. You survived another year doing what you love, Andie. Congratulations for winning that grant, Andie. You’re such a success, Andie, a pioneer, yada yada yada. Yey, you.

But when a pregnant woman crashes the party to announce that her baby’s father is my fiancé, suddenly it’s glaringly obvious that maybe I need to ease my foot on the gas that’s my career and take time off. Maybe then, I can figure out where I went wrong.

So I book myself a two-week vacation at a wellness resort in Northern New Mexico. I fill up my schedule with full body massages, foot rubs, meditation, yoga and everything else on the menu that doesn’t involve a partner.

Who needs one, anyway, when you’re trying to find yourself?

But finding myself ends up being the last thing I want to do when I run into the rarely-single and gorgeous Gabe Vasquez on New Year’s Eve. And when the clock strikes twelve, the last thing I never expect is the way his kiss makes me weak in the knees and has me feeling like a giddy schoolgirl.

A forty-two-year-old giddy schoolgirl.

But like I care about that right now.

All I know is I want more of it.

I hate ultimatums with a passion.

And maybe it’s my fault for not feeling the need to get my relationships to the engagement phase like most of my friends have done, but after my last ultimatum came—and went—I’m lying low this time and being good.

Really good.

Mr. Lova Lova on vacation, if you will.

But when I run into an old friend at the Taos Plaza NYE celebration, I realize I just might have to put that thought on hold. For something stirs deep inside me like it always does whenever Dr. Andrea Martin is near. If it weren’t for the fact that she’s been engaged to a mutual friend forever, I’d have acted on that feeling a long time ago.

But when she tells me her engagement is off and that’s she’s finally ready to play the field—in this case, with some guy she met just minutes earlier—it’s all I can do to put a stop to whatever idea of fun she’s got in mind with someone else. Because maybe there’s a reason why I’ve never felt the things I feel for Andrea with anyone else.

And when she kisses me when the clock strikes at midnight, suddenly the last thing I want is to be good.

Not for one minute.

For Mr. Lova Lova is back in session and this time, he’s playing for keeps.
