“Everyone’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s really an easy way: Stop participating in it.”
Noam Chomsky
Reflection
Our brain wants to criticize others. Blaming is part of our evolutionary survival. This tendency does not facilitate cooperation between us. In the vast majority of situations, the persons involved own both - part of the problem and part of the solution. If we realize this, it will be easier for us to collaborate. What responsibility do you have? It takes two to tango.
Today's exercise
Think of a conflict you have with someone. Or think of someone who has a different opinion than you. Try lowering your guard (no worry, you don’t have to do this in reality). What do you do or say that increases the tension? Sit with this for a moment. What might you do to lighten the tension?
