Dear St. Andrew's Community and Friends:
This Sunday, November 29 is the First Sunday of Advent, a period of celebration and watchfulness in our church calendar. During this period of communal discernment and personal introspection, we celebrate Christ’s coming, and await him again with expectant hope.
Erin McKibben opens the service with a meditative flute solo titled, “Sarabande." As you listen, open yourself to a quiet space within, so that you may open to God’s presence there. The Padden-Rubin family joins us in our Sanctuary to light the first Advent candle.
Instead of a sermon, our three Parish Associates, the Reverends Judith Muller, Janet Ewart, and Suzanne Malloy, will lead us in the reading of three lectionary scriptures, each accompanied by an Advent hymn. Many of you will recognize Konrad Kono, returning during this time to provide his familiar touch on the piano.
These hymns are brand new recordings. So if you wish to sing (or play!) along please access the Lyric and Sheet music link along with the link to the Worship Service. Zoom links to the coffee hour and adult education also follow.
Rev. Jennifer Fraser will lead our service next Sunday, December 6.
Welcome, Jen!
