Praises: We are so thankful for our time with family and friends this month. It has been wonderful to reconnect with our Appleton Alliance family as well! Travis and Becca are looking forward to participating in a forum for Alliance healthcare IW’s at the end of August. It’s a privilege to be able to speak into what the future of medical missions in the Alliance may look like. Requests: We fly back to Guinea Sept 8 and arrive Sept 9. Please pray for safe travels as well as all luggage to make it (we are carrying some important medical equipment back with us). Please also pray for us as we arrive back in Guinea to get settled in our new home quickly and as efficiently as possible. Pray specifically for the electricity and water to be stable. ROOS FAMILY NEWSLETTER

Tony and Raeni have settled into Toulouse and enjoyed a summer of ministry and time with both daughters at home. They hosted their first intern in Toulouse. Each summer a local charity prepares 200 meals to hand out to those in need 7 days a week. Envision France was happy to participate by cutting tomatoes, packing bags and handing out coffee. Many of the volunteers are refugees or asylum seekers, who benefited from the meal hand out just last year. This opened a path to many conversations. Pray for the fall as we host two interns and partner with Toulouse International church to host teams and prepare a conference on parenting multicultural children. Pray for Aaron and Kelly Winn, new Envision France workers who arrive in France at the end of August. Pray for their 18 year old daughter starting at Crown College and their 9 year old daughter joining them here in France.Pray for the gospel to come to those willing to hear.

Ways that you can Pray for us ...
Pray for Black Forest Academy as they START the school year amidst continued Covid regulations and as we navigate what we are allowed and not allowed to do. Pray that they can have as normal of a START as possible. Pray for our students as they are saying goodbye to families all over the world. Pray that the dorm students would not have any issues entering Germany, and that those that have to quarantine would remain healthy. There are still some staff that have not arrived yet. Pray that they would get their support quickly and that they can come soon so they don't miss too much here.
Pray for our Family as we have many STARTS ahead of us. Matthew STARTS at Taylor university this year. Pray for the transition and adjustments he will have to make. Sam is still in the states helping Matthew get settled and will miss the START of BFA's school year. Jordan and Larisa have STARTED new jobs and graduate school in Bethlehem PA and Katie STARTS her Junior year at BFA and Ellie STARTS her 3rd year teaching in Grand Rapids. Jen and Sam START their 19th year serving the CMA at BFA. Pray specifically for Jen this weekend as she has her Student Council planning weekend Saturday through Tuesday. Flight: Pray for smooth flights and easy connections. We have one connecting flight that is going to be tight! Pray that all our luggage makes it to Dakar with us.
Housing: There have been some setbacks in getting our new house finished before our arrival. Because of that, we'll be staying at our teammates house for a few nights until we can get our things moved, unpacked, cleaned, and set up. We're so thankful for our team - working hard before our arrival and being so helpful in welcoming us back.
Transition: The past week leading up to our departure has been difficult on Simon and Jude. Leaving this time might be the hardest thing they've been asked to do. Pray for them. Pray for their parents.
U.S. House: Pray for a successful closing on our home in Wisconsin which is scheduled for Sept. 9.

Hello WGLD prayer warriors! Once again, thank you for standing with us in prayer.
Here are some current things to be praying for:
Ministry—pray for our two house churches. We have more people curious about attending. Pray that God would soften their hearts and give them a hunger for Him. Also, we are exploring locations for various ministry opportunities. Pray that God would provide the perfect spot!
Family—praise God for a good start at a new school for the kids! Pray God would provide good friendships. Please also pray our kids hearts would stay malleable for Him with the onslaught of anti-god messages around them. Finally, please pray for health. Scott continues to have some health struggles and is scheduled for another minor surgery on September 8.

- We are processing the documentation (quota, visas, work permits, certificates of entry, etc.) to have a dutch couple come and join our team through cama zending (the alliance in the netherlands). it's been tricky to bring in new people as extra steps have been added to the process due to covid restrictions, but things are looking promising. pray that they will be able to arrive in september as we hope.
- We are scheduled to be in the us for a home assignment from october 23 - january 22. right now, travel in and out of our country is possible but difficult as only charter flights are available, plus there are additional procedures we need to follow in order to leave the country (covid tests, notifying the embassy, getting a certificate of entry from the ministry of foreign affairs to return, etc.). pray for wisdom as we look into travel arrangements and home assignment plans. and let us know if you'd like to meet up!
- The effects of closed borders and no tourism industry become more and more apparent each day. pray for the many people in our country who are out of work and struggling. pray that god will give us wisdom, creativity, and boldness as we seek to serve and share his light.

We have arrived and tomorrow sign the papers on a house rental. This is a huge answer to prayer!
