After the snow in January, it's almost springtime in Provence and certainly feels that way along the Côte d'Azur. For a beautiful, yellow-hued outing, head to the coast to see the Mimosas in bloom.
The carnivals and festivities in Nice and Menton are scheduled to return next year (fingers crossed). Good news for road cycling fans itching to see some action, the Paris-Nice "Race to the Sun" begins on March 7 in St. Cyr l'Ecole outside the French capital and ends in Nice one week later.
The new multimedia show at Carrières de Lumières, in Les Baux de Provence, opens on April 3. This year the significant works of Paul Cézanne contrast with Wassily Kandinsky's bright abstracts on the quarry walls. The program runs through to January 2, 2022. Buy your tickets.
