Sunday is our children’s choirs’ final Sunday in worship this semester. We give thanks and appreciation to our singers, especially to our parents, who support their child’s spiritual and musical lives through choir participation. We also express our gratitude for our wonderful directors: Audra Gibson (Celebration Choir K – 2nd grade) and Katie Ray (Peace Choir, Grades 3-6).

From beeswax body care to hand-strung beaded jewelry, artisans from all over the midtown area will come to Northminster for the first of four events this spring/summer. This will be an excellent opportunity to support local artisans and introduce families in the area to our church. If you’re interested in helping set up and run the event, please contact Emi Johnson or Nancy Fortenberry.

PC(USA) Response to Ukraine War |
As the violence in Ukraine continues, the number of people being displaced internally and fleeing to neighboring countries increases by the day. While the scale of this crisis is new, receiving refugees from Ukraine and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe is not, which means the PC(USA) has trusted, established partners with the knowledge and expertise to carry out this important work.

PRAY: May we undergird our prayers with tangible resources to help. May we reach deeply, give generously, and welcome extravagantly. May we lift our voices in a strong and unified advocacy. May we all, even as we breathe in lament, breathe out mercy, hope and peace. And in this Lenten season, when we walk the way toward death and resurrection, repent our complicity in cultures of violence and renew our efforts toward justice and peace. -Rev. Dr. Laurie Kraus, Director, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
