YOU'RE INVITED TO CELEBRATE THE RELAUNCH OF 'FRANCES'

Members of the Classic Yacht Charitable Trust have recently completed a major refit of FRANCES and are holding an open day relaunch celebration for supporters and the public at the NZ Maritime Museum. We would love to welcome you along to the event.

CYA SUMMER YACHT & LAUNCH PROGRAM

Your committee has now confirmed events for the summer of 2022-23 and is currently loading up the website with the event calendar.

Yacht race results will again be produced by TopYacht and our CYANZ schedule of races is also being loaded on to their system. Full details will be forwarded as soon as both systems are in place.

CYAA MELBOURNE CUP REGATTA

Support our friends across the ditch. Make your travel plans now for CYAA 2022 Melbourne Cup Regatta.

Three days of camaraderie and sailing on classic yachts in Hobson Bay, Port Phillip. Host Club: Royal YC Victoria.

Saturday & Sunday (29-30 Oct): Briefing 9.00am, two harbour races, evening social

Monday (31 Oct): 10.00am Pursuit race, BBQ lunch, Prizegiving

Tuesday (1 Nov) Cup Day: At home social for visitors, Cup sweepstake

CYCA CLASSIC YACHT REGATTA, SYDNEY

9 – 11 December 2022

Make sure you put the date in your diary…..2021 saw 30+ starters over three divisions and was a spectacular event on Sydney Harbour.

CYA MEMBERSHIP

A big thank you to all who have paid your subs so promptly – and if you haven’t received your membership card yet, it will be on its way shortly.

I have had a couple of members advise me they are now over 70 and so qualify as Veterans ($40.00 subs) or have moved to the Country ($65.00 subs) so please let me know if you have had your 70^th Birthday or have moved. Joyce: admin@classicyacht.org.nz

LIGHTER QUAY MARINA UPDATE

The Lighter Quay Residents Society Committee who manage the marina and lock, are offering a one month, no-obligation trial for a berth in this sheltered, safe and quiet marina. Each of the 15 berths have access to water and power and are available for rent for classic wooden vessels that are up to 10m LOA, 4m beam and 2m draft. Indications are that the rental will be approx. $600 per month per vessel.
