Wow, things are getting really busy over here!

Medal Tests are on their final days, Prizegiving will happen in four weeks, the concert themes have been announced, EOY concert preparation has been months underway and choreography starts next week, Preschoolers are doing their concert in a matter of days, we have installed a new ceiling in one of our studios... so much going on!

We are now halfway through term 3 and, while preparing for all the events coming up, we've had a fair amount of dancers of all ages come in for trials and some even snatching the last spots in some classes! If you have found yourself unable to book a trial for this reason, don't hesitate to put your name on the waitlist of your preferred class. Very often there is some movement in groups (people move levels, changes in style, ...) and a spot could open up for you just in time for concert season!

If you'd like to attend classes but performing is not something you are interested in at the moment, that is something you can of course do. Classes will remain open for all students for most of the year and we are currently working on suitable alternatives to offer to those opting out of concert during blockout periods.  

MIDDLE SCHOOL & ADULT STUDENTS WILL START WORKING ON THEIR END OF YEAR CONCERT NEXT WEEK!

New students thinking about joining in, concert season starts officially August 19 for all, so don't delay in getting your spot in the class you want! New dancers can of course join later, but starting off concert preparation with everyone else in the group ensures a stress-free experience, having the same amount of time to learn it all and create bonds through teamwork with peers in class.
Just keep in mind that our concert cut off date is September 15 for Middle School students and October 6 for adults.

Our EOY concert themes have been announced now in studio and our dancers are finding out as they come in. Once everyone has learned what their groups are going to be working on specifically, we'll make our official public announcement!

• Adult classes run all year without interruptions during school holidays! Check the ADULT timetable and memberships here.
  
• Middle School classes run in line with the Victorian school terms. Check the JUNIOR (Prep-Grade 2) timetable and memberships here and the SENIOR (Grade 3-High School) information here.
  
• Preschool Students (ages 18 months +) can trial a class at any time outside of our concert week (12-18 August). Registrations for our special Preschool Concert on Sunday 18 August have closed but dancers can still join regular lessons at any time in this age cohort. ADULT STUDENTS GET THEIR OWN SEPARATE CONCERT AND AFTER PARTY!

We take pride in our adult student community and they make up as much of our timetable as the children's classes. After many years showing extraordinary commitment to concert, last year we launched a separate adult concert for the first time and it was a great success in participation. So this year, our adult school will also get their own concert (different location from last year though, to hopefully suit our needs better).

Registrations are now open and all information has been sent out to currently enrolled students. As new students join, they will receive all the details as well, so they can opt in if they wish to do so. This year our awesome community of around 100 adult students will bring something truly special to the stage!

The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence has a new name—Bullying No Way: National week of action.

Bullying No Way Week, 12 to 16 August 2024, is Australia’s key bullying prevention initiative and connects schools and communities to find workable solutions to prevent bullying.

The theme for 2024 is 'Everyone belongs'.

When we all feel like we belong, bullying struggles to find a place. It's about embracing who we are, respecting everyone's differences and standing up together against unkindness.

Belonging means we all have a role in preventing bullying. We're encouraged to speak up and create a safe place where everyone feels supported and respected, and our voices are heard and valued.
