Around 60 key actors from the social economy field met at the National Conference for Social Entrepreneurship to discuss cooperation between social and traditional businesses. Our colleague Laurențiu Racu, Secretary General of the Platform for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship (PDAS), managed by AO EcoVisio, spoke about the joint efforts of the Platform and the Social Entrepreneurs HUB for the development of the social economy sector. During the debates organized by the Alianța Biciclete Chișinău (Chisinau Bicycle Alliance) on October 18, we put under the spotlight the question: where is the right place for alternative transport at the current moment of Chisinau's development - on the road side, together with cars, or on the sidewalk, among pedestrians? The debate has clearly shown that, although both spaces have strong arguments in favor of bicycles and scooters, a balanced infrastructure is needed. Microplastics are already ubiquitous - in water, soil, air and even in our bodies. These particles quickly enter the food chain, affecting marine and terrestrial life. Microplastics also end up in our drinking water because filters can't stop them, putting our health at risk. Read more here.

From December to January 2023, the "Art Against Waste" competition took place, dedicated to students in grades 5 to 12 from schools located in regions 5, 8 and 1. Students were encouraged to create artwork inspired by the importance of environmental protection and the need to reduce waste, and the winning entries were selected to be reproduced in public spaces. Three of the most successful designs were painted, helping to beautify communities and promote the message of sustainable living. See more here.
