We are constantly telling stories about ourselves and our lives, for better or for worse.
Over time, the goods and the bads, the rights and the wrongs of our stories become lodged on the landscape of our psyches, leaving little room to manoeuvre around them.
These might be stories about what what we are 'good at' or 'not good at,' keeping us from exploring an interest that might be important to explore. They might also be stories about others who we believe are 'right' or 'wrong,' keeping us from making more of a human connection.
When these stories remain unexamined. valuable real estate is taken up that could be put toward greater aliveness, hope and the unfolding of our life's mission.
One of the many gifts Daniel Goodenough offers is a way to uplevel our stories that shape how we view the world and ourselves.
We've put together a summary version for you - in 7 steps - to give you an experience of how you can, fairly quickly, shift a story that is in the way of you experiencing aliveness and joy.
The link below will walk you through these steps. After you complete them, you'll see a video of Daniel speaking more about the value of telling a higher story. We hope you enjoy this exercise. At the end of the steps, we'd love to know how it was for you, your thoughts and experiences.
