An attempted robbery was reported aboard a Singapore-flagged Bulk Carrier while it was underway in the Singapore Straits. Duty crew members discovered two robbers in the engine room, prompting the perpetrators to flee without stealing anything.

All crew members were reported safe and accounted for. The Master of the vessel confirmed that no assistance was needed, and the vessel continued its voyage to Taiwan.

This incident brings the total number of reported incidents in the region to at least 35 this year, with 22 of those exhibiting similar characteristics and occurring within the Singapore Strait area.
