There are few events in the history of NomadMania that encapsulate our community spirit, our capacity to be daring and our ability to go where nobody has ever been before that can compare to the recent gathering in Azerbaijan to celebrate the retirement of our founder, Harry Mitsidis.

Yes, Harry has decided that, after almost 15 years of dedicated service to NomadMania, it is time for him to focus on other projects and to leave the operational, strategic and financial side of NomadMania to the team.

Thanks to our friendship with Azerbaijani UN Master Mehraj Mahmudov, we were able to organise a fantastic event which gathered a never-before-seen collection of notable travellers including 64 UN Masters under one roof

You can read the full event report here.

Within April, we will be publishing our final interview with our founder, where he gives his overall impression on leading NomadMania since its launch in 2012.

At least 25 UN Masters are coming to Brazil

As we gear up for your annual flagship event, The NomadMania Conference 6, we’re thrilled to share that at least 25 UN Masters will be joining us, along with over 100 participants from around the world!

The event will take place June 10–14 in Ouro Preto, and a few spots are still available. If you haven’t secured your place yet, now’s the time :-)

Exceptionally Active Month for the Community

In March, our members self-hosted 13 NomadMania meetings all over the world — that’s almost an event every other day.

These are some pictures from: Singapore, Melbourne, Toronto, Colombo, Tallinn, Oslo, and Taipei. You can see them all in this facebook post also.

Remember, you can host our own NomadMania event too. Here's how :-)

Cameroon Update

Last week, during the release of new regions for African countries, we asked you whether Cameroon should get 1 or 2 new regions. The Optimal Score of 5.68 suggested that two could be possible.

The community voted to add only one region, which still makes it a fair and reasonable decision. The new region in Cameroon is Adamawa province, a mountainous area which forms the barrier between Cameroon's forested south and savanna north.

Next week, we’ll be rolling out updates in Latin America.

According to the roadmap, the following countries are due for one new region each: Bolivia • Chile • Colombia • Costa Rica • Ecuador • Guatemala • Panama • Peru • Uruguay

Your expert input is highly appreciated — let’s keep moving forward 🙂
