Dear Readers

Can you believe it? It’s already almost the end of May and this is only my second newsletter of the year.

I know you may not have subscribed to this newsletter, but I'll explain later that I've changed platforms and incorporated all subscribed readers - those of you that signed up on my ARC team and through other methods. If I promise not to bombard you with emails, I hope you will stay. Otherwise, even though I'll be sad to see you go, I will understand if you unsubscribe.

Here in the southern hemisphere, autumn is creeping up on us. The days are still warm but in the evenings it is getting cooler—not cold enough yet to curl up in front of a fireplace (if you have one), but cool enough to call for an extra blanket. We don’t have dramatic changes in the scenery, but the last week I’ve noticed the leaves are changing colour and the poor gardener in our complex are sweeping up the leaves the whole day.

Playing By The Rules, is the fourth standalone sports romance in the Playing For Glory series. It follows the lives of red-hot professional rugby players and the women they love.

“If you know what’s good for you and your career, stay away from my daughter!”

Ulrich Fölscher wants to play rugby for the Buffaloes and the Springboks and eventually become the best chef in town. In that order. There is no place for romance in his life. Obeying Coach Brady’s command is easy, until he meets his daughter Samantha. She is everything he needs—warm, bubbly—and possibly, the missing ingredient he lacks to spice up his life.

Sammy is a professional athlete, and she too knows the rules. But it is hard to resist Ulrich’s quiet strength, focused determination and, most of all, his delectable kisses.

Both know how to fight for what they want. But as their desire for each other intensifies, so does the pressure to make a choice. Can Ulrich and Sammy continue to play by the rules or risk it all for love?

Daily news

Autumn is a time of change. I've made some changes in my marketing and online profiles.

Since I’ve last spoken to you and while updating my website, I thought it was time for another change. Although I’m still leaving ARC copies on Booksprout, I’ve transferred from Bookfunnel to Prolific Works. I also changed my email marketing campaign away Mailchimp to Mailerlite.

I’m still hosting fellow romance authors on Thursdays. Should you wish to appear on my blog, you can follow the link to complete the form

I’m behind the release schedule I planned for 2019, but it doesn’t matter. That is the nice thing being an indie author. I can change the schedule when necessary.

I’m completing Taste for Wine, the second novel in the Taste for Love series and hope to publish that in June.

I’m also working on a standalone novel, a romantic suspense called Until You’re Mine, which I hope to submit to an agent next month

April 2019
Exposure in the media

It is not always easy to get exposure in the media so you can imagine that I’m quite proud of the article that appeared in the Your Family magazine in April.

I’m hosting a giveaway of Playing by the Rules in Prolific Works for all works published from January to May 2019 so please have a look and discover several new authors. There are 34 books listed in different genres. As usual, all we ask is for a kind review on our usual platforms.  You'll find the platforms where you can leave a review, further down in the newsletter.

You'll find my other books also under my Profile in Prolific Works should you wish to leave a review. For the May giveaways in Prolific Works, just click on the picture for the links for the May giveaways.

New Releases: January to May 2019

I’m waiting for the final date of the JOE Indie Pop-up Bookfair which should take place on 8 June at the Grove Mall, Pretoria.

This year I’ve signed up for both the ROSA (Romance Novelist Association)s Annual Conference and Gala Dinner to be held in September in Johannesburg and the RNA (Romance Novelist Association’s) Winter Party and Afternoon with Sophie Kinsella in London in November.

I’ve removed all my books from Kindle Unlimited and are now publishing wide. Apart from Amazon, I also publish to other sales channels via Draft2Digital and Eden Books, a platform for romance books.

I’m taking a wee break from writing and editing in June when I’ll spend time with my family. The Dude and Dudeling will both be at home during that time. It will also be a hectic time as we need to pack up house again and put our personal stuff in storage.

Yes, since the Dudeling is now studying Down Under, the Dude and I will be mobile for the next four years. We’ll be staying 3 to 4 months in a place, beginning in September. Sometimes it might be shorter. In September I’ll spend a week or two in the Eastern Cape before I fly to Scotland. From there I’ll go to Malaysia (I think) and then Australia. We might then return to Europe for Spring and Summer but then we’ll find another place to discover.

Well, that is all from me from now. I hope I'll have more exciting, and more definite news when I speak to you again later in the year. Take care.

Until next time.
