Prayer requests from Resonate Global Mission missionaries and ministry leaders
Prayer Points

Prayer Points from ministry leaders around the world:

  • Resonate missionaries Carlos and Kimberly Belez ask you to pray for the Dominican Republic and Haiti. “COVID-19 cases are back on the rise,” they said. “There are calls to shut the DR down again ... if this becomes necessary, the continuing impact will be severe as the country has very few ‘safety net’ programs for the vulnerable. The hospitals are near capacity in the major cities.”

  • Pray for church planters in this time of pandemic as they work to keep people in their new congregations connected and find ways to serve and minister in their communities. Many bivocational planters are also working from home as part of their employment, and some are dealing with lost income. Ask God for wisdom, encouragement, and provision.

  • Give thanks for the young adults serving with Resonate's Cohort in Central America. They recently launched new initiatives in response to the coronavirus. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work through these young leaders to shine Christ's light in a challenging time.

  • Pray for church planters and parent churches who are considering planting a church. Ask the Spirit to speak into their decision making—providing guidance for how best to plant a church and engage communities. Pray for resources to make planting possible and for leaders to step up.

  • Nick In't Hout, a Resonate holistic mission network developer in California, gives thanks for Black and Latino church leaders in his community who are peacefully talking with police about building trust in neighborhoods. Pray that these conversations will bear much fruit for God's kingdom.

  • Resonate missionaries Scott and Lisa Neumann, who serve at LCC International University in Lithuania, give thanks for a student who wants to baptized! But please pray for him and his family, as his parents don’t support his new faith and this may strain their relationship. “Please pray for his family, and pray that he would continue to grow in his understanding of who Jesus is,” ask Scott and Lisa.

Your Prayer Matters!

We recently asked you to pray for the "Little Free Library" that Resonate missionaries James and Barbarita and their family set up in front of their house. They started stocking the library with food and Bibles to care for their neighbors during COVID-19. Thank you for praying!

Many people in the Lees' neighborhood are still unemployed and struggling to provide food for themselves and their families.

"We have continued to place rice, beans, soap, and Bibles in the library," said the Lees. "Several times a day, the doorbell rings if there is not food in the library box. Up to date, 44 Bibles have been shared through the little library. As always, God finds a way to move his work forward."
