Z-PAC Theatre has been very fortunate to secure a grant of almost $5000 to purchase a set of new laptops computers for the management committee.

This grant was co-funded by Councillor David Lee and Mayor George Seymour from their Council Discretionary Fund.

The computers will be used by the committee to communicate with each remotely as well as provide access to the new digital infrastructure that has been set up to manage the theatre.

President Katie O'Neill said, "We wanted to make sure that anyone could apply for a role in the management committee and had the tools and equipment that they needed to do the role effectively without having to worry about what their personal budget was."

Cr Lee said he was supportive of the grant as he understood the benefits and opportunities the theatre provides to the community and wanted to see it sustained into the future.

"The theatre is an important part of the community; it adds value and offers a diverse range to our community's cultural offerings."

LONG GONE LONESOME COWGIRLS is a "feel good" - sad but hilarious - two-hander set in a tiny, far outback Queensland town in the late 1960s about an unlikely friendship between two young women of wildly differing temperaments, united in their abandonment by the men in their lives and their passion for country and western music. The play will feature a live band and great country and western classics, sung by the two women as they traverse their rocky paths to happiness.
